"Shh..." Ben held his finger to his lip, looking at the offensive lamp that had dared to trip him. No, someone had decided to rearrange all the furniture on him while he had been away at the bonfire party at the river.
The soon-to-be Senior Class had gathered for a night of music, swimming, grilling and beer. However, Ben hadn't exactly mentioned that last piece to his parents.
Now did he warn them that he would be stumbling in at two in the morning.
The lights flipped on and blinded him a moment, and then he was able to make out his father on the stairs, shotgun aimed at home. His mother was only a few feet behind him, scowling.
"Awww shit..."

Date: 2009-06-20 02:40 am (UTC)Finally he put his empty coffee cup down. "Can I be excused? I have plans."
Which he really didn't, but he wasn't going to sit around here of all that was going to happen was his folks making his life hell.

Date: 2009-06-20 02:44 am (UTC)Sammy pouted a bit. "Do I have to?"
"Just for a little while. I'll be out in a little bit."
"Okay," she sighed, before climbing out of her chair, gathering her coloring books, and heading into the living room. He didn't ask Alec to leave, because while he was pretty sure that Alec couldn't get drunk as easily, he didn't want Alec thinking that if he happened to reach the point, either Dean or Lisa was going to go light on things like that. Dean took a breath before looking up and over at Ben again.
"Needless to say, you're grounded. For a good long time."

Date: 2009-06-20 03:45 am (UTC)"Now, while you may have earned the parts, I actually paid for them. I spent the money on that car, I bought the frame that you fixed up, therefore, if it's anybody's? It's mine. Title, insurance, that's all extra. Without me, you wouldn't have this car."

Date: 2009-06-20 03:56 am (UTC)"Well, that's too bad. Because not only are you stuck with me, but your mother and I are in agreement on this. So suck it up." He paused for a minute, needing to get out of the room before he exploded at something. "Give Mom your keys, and then go to your room. As I said, you're grounded." And with that he walked out of the room, heading upstairs before he said something he really regretted.

Date: 2009-06-20 04:05 am (UTC)"Fine, keep the damn car. But I'm out of here." He grabbed his jacket and started for the front door.
"Ben!" Lisa got up from her chair.
"No, you sided with him. Forget it. Screw him, and screw you. I'm done with this."
The front door slammed behind him as he left, leaving Lisa crying in the hallway, holding onto Ben's keychain.

Date: 2009-06-20 04:23 am (UTC)He quite frankly had no idea what to do. Who to side with, who to try and make feel better. And then when Ben had said what he said. . .only instinct kept Alec in his seat. It was better to not be seen at all than to draw attention through running.
But now it was just him and his mom. His choice made for him by process of elimination. He got up and walked over to her, not sure what to do for a moment and then figured, she hugged him when ever he freaked out over something and it helped so he's go with that. he pulled his mother into a hug.
