Self-Conclusion - The Spill Canvas
Fade in, start the scene
Enter beautiful girl
But things are not what they seem
As we stand at the edge of the world...
School was over now, and Ben sat in the park watching moving trucks appear all over the neighborhood. Ever since October, people had been moving out of the community one by one. Rumors of the strange deaths, and the kids talking about demons had mothers scared.
New town, new start. Some had left right away, and others were leaving now that the school year was over. There was still a group, like Ben, remaining behind. Of course, Ryan had to be one of them, along with his tiny gang. However, they hadn't been touched by the demons, so they didn't believe.
Of course, there were people moving in too - ones who didn't know about the changelings and the deaths of people. Ones who were happy to move out of Indianapolis for a peaceful life. And someone was moving into the house right next door to the Braeden's.
As Ben was walking home, he stopped to see a girl his age staring up at her house with a smile on her face. Her parents were working to carry in all of their things, trying to avoid the girl that was in their way, but not asking her to move aside.
"HI!" she saw Ben and skipped over, waving and smiling. "I just moved in. Isn't my house pretty? It's the prettiest house ever!"
"It's alright," Ben replied. "I live next door. I'm Ben."
"Nice to meet you, Ben." the girl did a little curtsy. "I'm Lilly. I bet you and I are going to be great friends."
Ben stared at her, and there was just something about her eyes...
"Ben! Lunch time!" Lisa's voice echoed through the open window, and Ben shook his head.
"Sorry, that's my mom. I gotta go."
"Tomorrow you can come over and see my room. I have a princess bedroom. See you then!" With that, she skipped away, leaving Ben to shake his head, then turn to run for home.
