Ben was back awake again when Ruby came back into the room. He was sweating bad, trying to turn onto his back to breathe better.
"Why...?" he asked, wanting to know why she had come to save him. A demon, of all people. Not that he wasn't grateful, but she surely wasn't what he had been expecting.
