Birthday Boy is Excited

So today is totally my birthday and I turn ten! Double digits man! And my party is totally at Bob's Fun World!!! Go carts and mini golf and rides.

Seriously, this is going to be epic.

Dean was late, of course. That was natural, or close to.

He also wasn't bringing in keys to a car. (Of course, he was aware that if he'd done that, Lisa would toss him to a firing squad. And Sam would be the first on it.)

He did, however, get Ben a book. With a choice selection of classic cars and a little more detailed information about them than most. Stories about famous specimen of those cars - racing, celebrity owners.

Oh, and a box of candy. Because it was Dean. And you never could go wrong with candy. Really.

Lisa opened the door, smiling and motioning for Dean to go upstairs and offered Sam some coffee in the kitchen while they waited.

The party hadn't been as epic as Ben had hoped because of the cold and rain, so he was sitting in his room, playing his Nintendo and being a sourpuss.

Dean raised his eyebrows at Lisa, then shrugged and headed upstairs. Then hovered at the doorway. Awkwardly. Then cleared his throat.

"Um. Hi, Ben."

He had been expecting a party. Where things would be happening and he could fade in the background, no harm done. Spotlight? So wasn't his thing.

Ben looked up, saw Dean and sat up, putting the game down.

"You came. The party blew, so you didn't miss much."
